
Ofada rice is a popular food in Nigeria, it’s a very special rice that is full of nutrients and health benefits. Ofada rice is notorious for its dirtiness and stone contents though the quality has improved tremendously in recent times, now they are sold in small packets and they don’t contain as much dirt as before.I will be teaching you how to Prepare it in a special way. The ingredients you will be needing
- 1 Derica of ofada rice
- 1kg Of green rodo
- 500g Of green tomatoes
- 7 Medium size of onions
- 1LT of paml oil
- 500g Of shaki
- 500g Of round about

- 500g Of beef
- 500g Of tiger prawns
- 300g Of green pepper
- 300g Of red pepper
- 300g Of yellow pepper
- 200g Of iru
- seasoning cube to taste
- salt to taste
- 2 Big size of pomo

Preparations for the ingredients
- Pick your ofada rice very well, remove all the stones.
- Wash it and parboil it with salt don’t allow it to be done completely, get a clean tray, spread it for it to be cold and set aside
- Wash the green rodo and green tomatoes
- peel the onions and wash them
- Blend all the mixtures, don’t allow it to be smooth and no too much water And set aside
- Get a clean pot on fire
- pour your palm oil and bleach it very well and set aside
- Wash your Iru and set aside
- Wash all the Assorted meats, and cook them till tender, season them with seasoning cube and salt to taste and onions. Fry them and set aside
- Wash the tiger prawns and season it with seasoning cube and salt to taste then set aside
- Cut all the vegetables and set aside
- Wash the pomo and cut it, parboil it and set aside. Ok, that’s it. Let go there.

Method on How to Prepare Ofada rice jambalaya
- Put the bleached oil back on fire
- Once it’s hot, pour some diced onions
- pour the iru, let it fry for a bit
- pour the mixture of the blended peppers and allow it to fry very well
- pour all the Assorted meats
- pour the pomo
- Add seasoning cube to taste
- Add salt to taste
- Allow it to fry for 2minutes more than turn off the fire
- Get another clean pot on fire
- Scoop the sauce without the oil, you don’t want your rice having too much oil
- pour the parboiled rice into the sauce and mix very well
- Cover it to steam and reduce the heat
- Get a clean fraying pan on fire
- Add a little bit of the oil from the sauce
- Pour the vegetables and stir fry it a bit and pour into a sieve
- Pour another little oil from the sauce and stir fry your tiger prawns and set aside
- Check the rice, once it’s steamed
- Pour the vegetables and mix it well
- Pour the prawns and mix very well
- Add seasoning cube to taste
- Add salt to taste
