How to Prepare Banga Soup recipe

Banga soup is a very popular and delicious soup eating by many African countries, and it’s a healthy soup, a lot of state in Nigeria eats this Banga Soup, like Delta state, calaba people also eats it, yoruba people do eats also, Igbo’s do eats it etc. And it’s prepared differently according to each tribe. Banga Soup is made from palm nuts and can be served with all kinds of swallows, like Eba, Amala, Semo, Pounded yam, Starch, etc, even with white rice. The day i tried it with spaghetti, it’s was fantastic fantabulous. You can try it I thank me later.
Ingredients you will be needing for banga soup
- 1 Derica of banga ( Palm fruit)
- cowleg
- asserted meats
- stock fish
- 2 big size of smoked cat fish
- 1 cup spoon of blended crayfish
- 5 Yellow scent pepper
- 5 Red rodo pepper
- Banga leave
- Banga spices
- Obunrunbebe stick
- pomo
- smoked prawn
- periwinkle
- seasoning cube to taste
- salt to taste
- 4 big size of onions.
Preparation for the ingredients
- wash all your Assorted meats
- pour them into a clean pot and set on fire
- Add diced onions
- Add seasoning cube to taste
- Add salt to taste
- wash your pomo and cut it to your desire size, once the asserted meats is about to be ready, then you can add your pomo so that it will cook together, and also, your pomo will be tasty.
- Once it done, set aside
- wash your Banga (palm fruit) and pour into a clean pot, add water and put it on fire.
- once it’s ready, pound it and extract the juice into a clean pot and set aside
- soke your stock fish with hot water
- Add little salt and set aside
- grind your yellow pepper, rodo,and onions together and set aside
- blend your crayfish and set aside
- wash your Obunrunbebe stick and set aside
- wash your periwinkle and set aside
- Debone the cat fish and wash it and set aside. Once you have prepared all your ingredients down, then you can start cooking.
How to Prepare Banga Soup
- Put the extracted juice of the banga ( Palm fruit) on fire and cover it to boil
- Add Obunrunbebe stick, and allow to boil for 10 minutes
- once it’s starts to ticking, pour all the Assorted meats and stock and cover it to boil for like a minute
- Add your blended pepper and onions
- Add your periwinkle and cover it to boil for 2minutes
- pour your smoked cat fish
- pour your smoked prawn
- pour your stock fish
- pour your banga spices
- Add your blended crayfish
- Add your seasoning cube to taste
- Add your salt to taste
- Add your banga leave, And stir it together and allow it to boil for a minute and Voilà your delicious and sumptuous soup is ready!!! You can serve it with any swallow of your choice.
